Strawberry Pickin’

I’m so sad that we waited this late in the season to go picking!  After a Mickey & Minnie pancake breakfast (which I was quite proud of), we met up with our best friends for a morning at Cottle Strawberry Farm.  It’s not even ten minutes from our house!

Brady, Caroline & Tyler had to “discuss” their strategy upon arrival. 

It didn’t take them long to figure the lay of the land, and I was honestly shocked at how well they did with picking berries correctly.  We talked about “the redder the better!” and I had to laugh at each time Tyler or Caroline corrected the other with a “no, that one’s too white!”

With a full bucket in-hand, we decided to take five and sample the fruits of our labor.  :)

We clearly did a great job of picking the juiciest red organic strawberries around. 

Eventually I had to hustle them off the farm… I think they would’ve eaten that entire bucket right in the middle of the field.  Best $11 ever spent!
