Although it’s not even noon yet, we’ve had a wonderfully busy Easter so far. The kids have been a little stuffy over the past few days, and last night, Caroline couldn’t seem to settle down in her own bed so I let her hang out with me for a few hours (Nathan was on an overnight shift anyway). At promptly 1:00am she slithered from my bed and walked back to her room, telling me that the she wanted to get in her own bed so the Easter Bunny could come. Bless her heart. :)
Thankfully, all that rest paid off and they both woke up bright eyed, bushy-tailed, and HYPE to see what awaited them downstairs. I’ve been slightly bribing them over the past month with being good so that the Easter Bunny could bring them the Buzz and Tinkerbell umbrellas they wanted (whatever works right?)… & Lo and behold, he delivered!
They couldn’t decide what to look at first. Each item was met with as much enthusiasm as the umbrellas themselves, even juice boxes and fruit puree pouches. Ha!
You see Connor sniffing around the Peeps? Well SNIFFING is not all he did. After we got back from church, we found THIS:
In our haste, we dressed the kids and packed a few snacks and took off. We mistakenly left the Easter baskets full of treats on the floor where Tyler and Caroline left them, and Connor decided he was a bit hungry. What you see are the remnants of four ring pops, a carrot-shaped baggie of Reese’s Pieces, and four chocolate-covered marshmallow bunnies. We immediately freaked out, but there wasn’t enough chocolate involved to actually harm him… although it’s likely going to upset his stomach a bit. We’d like to think he’ll learn a lesson at that point, but after snatching Trixie & Trey’s lamb treats off the table yesterday and consuming the ENTIRE BAG while we were gone, I think he’s just part billy goat. This dog will eat ANYTHING.
So, HAPPY EASTER friends and family! Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Just too darn cute! I sure wish Pa & I could have been there to see those eyes twinkle when they saw what the "EEE-ster" Bunny brought! And of course next year you might better get Connor his own basket of treats so he won't get too much sugar again! Love, love, love the family picture!!! You all look wonderful!!!! Happy, Happy Easter from Pa & Granna....we miss you!!
