After my proclamation in the last post, I ran across a recipe for "Funfetti Cupcakes."

Have I ever mentioned my lack of willpower for both baking and eating sugar? Cupcake Wars is a highlight of my television week, if that begins to tell you. So, with Nathan home and the kids asleep and rain falling by the bucket outside my kitchen window... I made these:

Please don't judge, I limited myself to two. :). With homemade buttercream, they were honestly too sweet to have more... a blessing indeed.

I'm judging a chili cook-off with my friend Andrea tonight at the state fairgrounds, but tomorrow I vow to be the pillar of health again. I have been doing well with my shakes and running, so I'm not going to let this minor setback derail me!

(Hopefully using this blog as a journal of progress doesn't get too boring, but as I said the other day, it holds me ACCOUNTABLE. I need accountability, unless that wasn't already obvious ::salivates looking at above cupcakes::)
