I laugh more and more every day

You know your babies grow up in a flash, and that one day you'll blink and they're asking for the keys. I almost feel like that will happen tomorrow, since this morning, Caroline dug her heels in the carpet and refused to leave her bedroom without her patent leather shoes on. After taking off her blanket sleeper, I changed her diaper and threw on a pair of leggings with her onsie (since she's of the "I hate diapers and clothes and all that nonsense" camp and pulls all of it off if I don't add more layers). This is normally the point in our day where we grab our blankets and head downstairs for milk & breakfast, but today, she walks into her closet and grabs these patent leather dress shoes. Under no circumstances were we walking anywhere without them on her feet.

Well, okay then. Do your thing little mama.

And then we have our little man, who thinks he should be doing every thing his daddy does. While Nathan mowed the grass yesterday, Tyler followed right behind.

Before I forget to mention it elsewhere, Tyler said his first "sentence" while we were at the beach! As Granna carried him into the living room where Nathan and I were, and he flashes his toothy grin and says "deh mama an' dada!" (There's mama and dada). It was basically the cutest thing in the whole world.

PS, we're getting stomped by the triplet blogs! Please log a vote for us if you have a minute (you can vote once a day :) Thank you so much!

  1. My oh my!!! Those precious little personalities are breaking out for sure! Gotta love Miss Caroline and her stubborn-ness! Ha HA! LOOK OUT NOW....it will be that way for a while to come! Girls just have a way of knowing how they want to dress & it comes too early. Every day will just get better honey....get your jets ready!!!

  2. Mandy I LOVE Tyler's shoes in the last photo, where did you get them? I have a 6mo boy and it is a constant journey to find shoes that are comfortable and stay on!

  3. Those are actually "water shoes," not sure of the correct term, but the kind you buy to wear at the beach/in the pool. We found that they work best for playing in the yard, especially because my children can't stay away from all things wet, like sprinklers & hoses :)
